Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Shake

I have been cursed with a sweet tooth. My two guilty pleasures are ice cream and peanut butter m&ms. I have been trying to find healthier ways to satisfy these cravings without the numbers on my scale rising and I have finally found a solution. By replacing one meal a day with a protein shake, I am able to satisfy the craving while getting a lot of the nutrients I need in a meal. I thought that I would feel hungry soon after finishing a shake, but I am satisfied for 3-4 hours after the meal.

One of my favorite breakfast shakes is the chocolate peanut butter oatmeal shake. The oatmeal really helps me feel full and it is really yummy.

Ingredients:

                                                      - 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
                                                      - 1 TB chocolate fudge pudding mix
                                                      - 1/4 cup oats
                                                      - 2 TB peanut butter
                                                      - 1/2 cup almond milk
                                                      - 1/4 plain Greek yogurt
                                                      - water as needed
                                                      - ice as needed

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Enjoy!

  1. I am so curious about oatmeal in a shake! Seems like it would be too thin for a straw! Guess this would be a good reason to give it a try!
