Ipsy Post #1

I am a huge fan of ipsy! It is always so nice when something arrives for you in the mail that is not a bill, especially when you receive a bag of mommy goodies. Once a month, sometime between the 10th and the 15th, I start checking my mailbox for my ipsy makeup bag full of makeup samples. The cost of ipsy is $10 a month and you are able to create an online profile to personalize what products you will receive that match up to your skin tone, eye color, etc. You can personalize preferences for what type of items you will be sent, too. I am very picky about facial soaps and creams so have requested to only be sent makeup, hair product, and nail polish. The website advertises that the items you receive will be sample sizes, but more than once, I have received full sized items. I have to admit that my favorite part of the shipment is the make up bag. Most of them I keep and use for myself, but a few I have given away to my nieces.

Each bag has an ipsy logo on it and is worth $10 alone.
So it is almost as if the products are a free bonus!

July's bag... my favorite one so far!

July's products

Octavio La Playa (Sea Salt Spray infused with Algae Extract)
Product is to create natural texture and volume for hair.

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
Exfoliating Cleanser Enriched with Papaya, Micro-crystals and Aloe.
The product is used to improve skin's texture to reveal softer, brighter and younger looking skin.

Aurora Gel Effect Nail Lacquer - Color is Alarm Fire
I am super excited to try this one! The bottle claims that no UV is needed.

tarte - Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer
Color- park ave princess

be a...bombshell lip balm
Color - ruby
The color looks bright, but is subtle when applied.

Some of the products that I have received I gave to my nieces as play makeup because it either wasn't the right color or a type of makeup I wouldn't normally wear. However, I have found a lot of products that I love and have been able to buy the full size product at either Sephora or Ulta. If you think you may be interested in trying out ipsy, I highly recommend it and suggest you check out the website for more information. It is a great way to try out new product without spending a lot of money.
